A small but well known automatic door maintenance specialist is currently looking to expand their engineering department, targeting two additional Engineers, one installer and one maintenance Engineer to cover the South East.
The company doesn’t operate an out of hours call out rota or work at weekends therefore, this role would suit an Engineer who is searching for a position without out of hours commitments.
As an Automatic Door Engineer, you will be responsible for
- Installing automatic swing and sliding door systems, manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, and Record UK.
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, Horton, Label, and more.
- Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
- Basic electrical wiring.
- Adhering to BS EN 16005 standards.
The successful automatic door Engineer will have
- Experience working for an EN 16005 recognised automatic door company.
- Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic door systems.
- Preferably installed automatic swing and sliding doors.
- A valid EN 16005 certificate, or at least have held one in the past.
- A CSCS Card.
- In return, you will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes:
- No call out rota
- Premium overtime rates (1.5 X) for hours worked outside 8am – 4.30pm
- Company van with personal use permitted
- All tools provided
- Tablet
- Satnav
- Door to door pay
- End of year bonus, usually between £1500 - £2000 per year
Due to some of the clients this company works with, all candidates must be able to pass a DBS check and will be reference checked before any offer of employment.
