We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and hardworking Door Engineer to join an ambitious company who is looking to expand their team in East Anglia and the South. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals eager to grow their careers with a company that values flexibility, employee well-being, and professional development. The company is expanding due to new contracts and a recent move to larger premises. They are looking for an experienced door engineer to cover the area from Kettering to East Anglia.
The role primarily involves service, maintenance, and repair work on automatic and industrial doors, with occasional installation work. While experience with gates is a bonus, it is not essential, as the company already has a dedicated gate engineer. This position is ideal for candidates who are eager to work hard, are customer-focused, and have a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintenance, and repair of automatic and industrial doors.
- Occasionally handle installations.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction with all works completed.
- Adapt to the company’s flexible work environment and take on tasks that align with your strengths.
- Experience with automatic and industrial doors is essential.
- Desirable qualifications include EN 16005, DHF Gate Diploma, and NVQ Level 2 in Industrial Door Maintenance.
- A strong work ethic, a customer-focused attitude, and a willingness to work are key.
- Competitive hourly rate of £15 - £19, depending on experience.
- 45-hour workweek with door-to-door pay included.
- Paid 1-hour lunch break daily.
- Professionally racked, limited edition Ford Customs with heated seats, built-in sat navs, charge points, and other top-spec features for maximum comfort.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x outside of 8am-5pm.
- Callout rotation of 1 weekend in every 4 weeks (Friday – Sunday).
- 25 days of holiday plus statutory holidays.
- Comprehensive training plans and courses, including GFA (Industrial doors), BFT (gates and barriers), Record (auto doors), Label (auto doors), and Dorma (auto doors).
