We are working with an established development business looking to appoint an Assistant Technical Manager to support its growing pipeline. This role sits within the pre-construction team and will support all development-led technical activity prior to start on site.
The Role
- Coordinating pre-construction technical information across multiple projects
- Reviewing and interpreting drawings, surveys and development reports
- Identifying technical, design, financial and contractual risks
- Liaising with statutory bodies (highways, drainage, environmental)
- Supporting services procurement and ensuring suitable designs are secured pre-exchange
- Assisting with technical reports and contract documentation
- Monitoring post-exchange technical obligations
- Attending internal launch and handover meetings
- Supporting programme milestones across the development lifecycle
About You
- 1–6 years’ experience within a major housebuilder
- Experience within pre-construction or technical coordination
- Exposure to residential or development-led schemes
- Strong understanding of planning and technical processes
- Able to manage multiple sites and priorities
- Confident communicator with good negotiation skills
- Well organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Word and Excel
