We are working with a leading developer, who are looking to strengthen their strategic land team with an ambitious individual from a planning background, to work closely with the regional head of land and senior planning manager on a portfolio of major strategic land schemes. You'd also have the opportunity to develop your skill-set and get involved in land sourcing/acquisition and development management work, should you wish to.
This role would suit someone with 1-2 years post-graduate experience in consultancy, council or at a developer, who is keen to diversify slightly and utilise their planning experience gained thus far in a wider strategic land role. You’ll work closely with the regional head of land and the senior planning manager, who will both mentor and spend time developing your skill-set to enable you to work fully in a wider strategic land role.
On offer is a salary of circa £40k - £50k plus package, including car allowance, bonus, pension, private healthcare etc. There is also some flexi working on offer.
Responsibilities- Work current and future planning applications and promotion work
- Support the land buying team with appraisals for future land purchases
- Stay current with planning policy updates for local authorities across the South
- Spend time with the land team to gain an understanding of how the land acquisition & onboarding process works
- Degree qualified and working towards MRTPI qualification
- Experience working on planning applications for 50+ unit projects
- Experience with large, complex strategic land planning applications would be advantageous but not essential
