With an solid land bank and consistent sales performance, they\’re now looking for an ambitious Technical Coordinator to join their high‑performing regional team near Maidstone.
The Role
You\’ll take ownership of the technical coordination across two active developments totalling 236 units, an 82‑unit scheme and a 154‑unit development. Both are traditional build, low‑rise housing projects where you\’ll be the central point ensuring seamless technical delivery from design through to completion.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Taking full ownership of technical coordination across two live residential developments
- Managing the full design team including architects, engineers
- Coordinating with utility providers (water, electric, gas, telecoms) to ensure timely connections
- Acting as the technical hub – ensuring design information flows seamlessly between commercial, construction, and sales teams
- Supporting your Senior Technical Manager
- Ensuring compliance with planning conditions, building regulations, and NHBC standards
- Reviewing technical submissions and signing off consultant deliverables
- Coordinating material specifications and liaising with the supply chain
- Managing warranty and Building Control sign-offs through to handover
Who We\’re Looking For
- Has hands‑on experience in a technical role within residential housebuilding (not consultancy)
- Understands the end‑to‑end technical process from planning through to CML handovers
- Has solid working knowledge of UK building regulations, NHBC standards, and residential construction methods
- Can manage multiple consultants and stakeholders without breaking a sweat
- Is highly organised, detail‑focused, and thrives on keeping projects moving
- Communicates brilliantly, whether with consultants, site teams, or internal departments
- Is genuinely ambitious and wants to progress to Technical Manager level
Ideal Background
- 2+ years in a Technical Coordinator, Assistant Technical Manager, or similar role
- Experience working on traditional build housing developments
- Understanding of planning conditions, Section 106 agreements, and discharge processes
- Familiarity with design software and technical drawing packages
- Ideally degree qualified or working towards a relevant qualification (Architecture, Construction Management, Building Surveying)
