I am working with one of the leading strategic land promotion developers in the UK who is looking to appoint a strategic land manager to strengthen its Surrey, Berkshire and South London operation. They are cash-rich and looking to buy land, seeing now as a moment of opportunity while others are waiting around. As a business, they operate UK-wide and have a very strong team covering the country across four regions.

You will be an experienced land buyer with 5 years of experience sourcing and buying land in Surrey, Berkshire and South London. You will have a detailed understanding of the planning system, and while you don’t need to be a town planner, you will be comfortable managing and directing the external consultants dealing with planning applications.

Ideally, you will have worked for a strategic land business or one of the national PLC house builders and have an extensive portable book of contacts in land agencies and with landowners in the Surrey, Berkshire and South London regions. You will work alongside the group land director and oversee the day-to-day land-buying activities, so you will be comfortable and able to work under your own direction and produce board and investor reports on potential land purchases or existing assets.
