Job Description
Senior Town Planner
Leicester
£60,000 – £70,000
I’m working with a major UK residential developer who are looking to add a Senior Town Planner to their regional team in Leicester.
This is a genuinely senior role, with real responsibility across a mix of strategic and immediate land. You’ll be trusted to run sites, shape planning strategy and work closely with land, technical and design teams to get schemes over the line.
The role includes:
- Leading planning strategies across a varied land portfolio
- Managing outline, full and hybrid applications
- Coordinating consultants and technical inputs
- Working closely with local authorities and key stakeholders
- Supporting land acquisition activity with strong planning input
- Assisting with S106 negotiations and planning conditions
- Presenting schemes at committees, consultations and appeals
You’ll need:
- Strong experience in residential planning
- Background with a developer or consultancy
- Confidence managing complex applications and stakeholders
- A commercial mindset and ability to work autonomously
- MRTPI preferred (but not essential for the right person)
Salary is between £60k – £70k, depending on experience, plus a solid benefits package and long-term progression.
