Quantity Surveyor
South West (Near Bristol)
Up to £70,000 + Package
We are working with a highly regarded residential developer with a strong reputation for building quality homes across the South West. Based near Bristol, this is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a collaborative and growing commercial team, with involvement in multiple developments throughout the region.
In this role, you’ll support the full commercial lifecycle of housing projects – from setting budgets and procurement to managing subcontractor accounts and final reporting. You\’ll work closely with internal departments and external partners, helping to drive cost efficiency and commercial performance across sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set, manage, and monitor budgets across residential developments
- Forecast costs, manage procurement and place subcontractor orders
- Oversee valuations, variations, and final account agreements
- Prepare financial and cost reports, including CVRs and forecasts
- Attend site and pre-start meetings, supporting cost planning and value engineering
- Liaise with construction, technical, and land teams to support delivery
Requirements:
- Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within housebuilding or residential construction
- HNC/HND in Surveying (degree preferred)
- Strong commercial understanding of construction methods and procurement
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel to sites across the South West
