The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team at the company’s East Midlands office. This role will be instrumental in managing the financial and contractual aspects of residential developments across the region. You’ll collaborate closely with construction, land, and technical departments, attending regular site visits and stakeholder meetings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and managing accurate cash flows and budget forecasts.
  • Supporting site valuations and financial performance reporting.
  • Managing contracts and supplier relationships, including subcontractors and third parties.
  • Ensuring procurement and expenditure practices comply with company policies.
  • Assisting with commercial aspects of land appraisals and site start programmes.
  • Processing orders and payments via COINS or similar systems.
  • Producing KPI updates and contributing to commercial strategy.
  • Driving cost control, value engineering, and procurement efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the new homes sector.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction and commercial management.
  • Proficiency in commercial software systems (e.g. COINS).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A proactive and detail-focused approach to project delivery.
