A leading PLC housebuilder with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of large-scale housing developments across Norfolk and the surrounding region, supporting the delivery of high-quality homes while managing project costs and maximising commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through to final accounts
- Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
- Procuring subcontractors and negotiating contracts
- Valuing subcontractor applications and managing payments
- Monitoring project costs and reporting on commercial performance
- Managing variations, cost changes, and risk mitigation
- Preparing monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)
- Working closely with site, technical, and land teams to ensure developments are delivered on budget
- Managing subcontractor relationships and performance
Requirements
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within housebuilding or residential development
- Strong understanding of construction costs and procurement
- Experience managing subcontractor packages
- Good knowledge of CVRs, cost reporting, and commercial management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
