I am working with a well-established national residential developer to recruit a land buyer. This role offers strong exposure to land sourcing, appraisal and acquisition, supporting the delivery of high-quality residential schemes. It’s ideal for an early-career professional with experience in housebuilding, development agency or consultancy, and would also suit a graduate planner with 1–2 years experience looking to move into the land side of development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and source residential land opportunities
  • Support land appraisals and financial feasibility assessments
  • Assist with land acquisition negotiations and transaction processes
  • Work collaboratively with senior land, planning and technical teams
  • Build strong relationships with agents, landowners and consultants
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and prepare internal reports

Requirements

  • 1–3 years post-graduate experience within a housebuilder, developer, land agency or consultancy
  • Or a hungry graduate town planner with 1 to 2 years experience and genuine interest in moving into land sourcing
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Proactive, organized and commercially driven mindset
  • Full UK driving license preferred
