A well-regarded SME housebuilder based in Maidstone is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a great opportunity to join a smaller, close-knit business where you'll have real visibility over projects from land purchase through to final account, rather than being one small part of a much bigger commercial machine.
You'll work closely with the Commercial Manager, Site Managers, and the wider technical team, taking ownership of cost control and procurement across a number of live residential developments.
- Manage procurement of subcontractors and materials, including tendering and negotiation
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including variations, final accounts, and dispute resolution
- Monitor site costs against budget, flagging risk early to the Commercial Manager
- Liaise with Site Managers to ensure commercial and construction teams are aligned
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential housebuilding.
Strong understanding of subcontractor procurement, valuations, and final accounts.
Confident communicator, able to work closely with site and commercial teams.
Full UK driving licence.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Experience with housebuilding-specific cost/procurement software.
Genuine autonomy and project visibility within an SME structure.
