There's a strong, well-established housebuilder working across Hampshire and the surrounding counties, the kind of business that's been quietly building a good name for itself for years without needing to shout about it. Fewer layers than the nationals, more say in how things get done, and a technical team that actually gets listened to. They're looking for a Senior Technical Coordinator to take on more responsibility across a growing pipeline of sites.
The Role
You'll take the lead on technical delivery for a handful of developments, working closely with a small, tight-knit team and reporting to a Technical Manager who genuinely wants to develop the people underneath them. This is a business where you're not just processing information, you're expected to have opinions and be listened to when you raise them.
What you'll be doing
- Leading technical coordination on a portfolio of sites from detailed design through to construction.
- Coordinating architects, structural engineers and other consultants to keep design information on programme.
- Managing discharge of planning conditions and acting as the main point of contact with the local planning authority.
- Reviewing technical drawings and specifications for accuracy and buildability before issue.
- Supporting Building Regulations and NHBC submissions, resolving queries directly with building control.
- Mentoring a junior coordinator and helping shape how the technical process runs day to day.
What we're looking for
- Solid experience as a Technical Coordinator, ideally with some exposure to leading on sites independently.
- Good working knowledge of NHBC standards, Building Regulations and the planning conditions process.
- Someone who's comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Strong communication skills, you'll be dealing directly with consultants, planners and internal teams.
- A relevant qualification is welcome but this business cares more about how you think and work.
What's on offer
- Β£48,000-54,000 depending on experience.
- Car allowance and a well-rounded benefits package.
- A business where career progression is genuinely based on merit, not just tenure.
- Flexibility and autonomy that's harder to find in the bigger nationals.
- A friendly, low-ego technical team that actually enjoys the work.
Ready to apply
If you want more ownership without losing the support of a proper team around you, this could be the move.
