I'm working with one of the bigger names in housebuilding, and they're looking to add a Technical Coordinator to their Essex team. In short, you'd be the person making sure the technical side of each development holds together - getting accurate information in early, keeping things moving, and stopping small issues becoming big ones on site.

The role:

  • Appointing and coordinating design consultants, and securing accurate information from the outset
  • Procuring and managing utilities and services
  • Maintaining the programme of works, including the fee budget
  • Discharging planning and building regulation conditions
  • Liaising with Planning, Building Control, the Fire Brigade and warranty providers
  • Working with the commercial team to keep orders and budgets accurate

About you:

  • A degree, HNC or HND in a technical subject, or working towards a relevant accreditation
  • Housebuilding experience ideal, but strong candidates from across construction and engineering will be considered
  • Working knowledge of building regs, NHBC standards and CDM
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects at once
  • A full UK driving licence, as there's regular travel to site
