Job Description
Architectural Technician
Leeds
Up to £60,000 + package
We’re working with a leading residential developer delivering high-quality, design-led schemes across the UK. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technician to take ownership of the design and technical delivery process, producing detailed, buildable drawings that bring projects from concept to completion.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for creating and coordinating detailed technical drawings and construction packages, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and design intent. Working closely with internal teams and external consultants, you’ll support projects through planning, approvals, and delivery — ensuring high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and innovation at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Produce clear, accurate, and coordinated technical drawings and design information
- Develop feasibility layouts and early-stage design proposals
- Manage planning and building regulation submissions
- Liaise with consultants, engineers, and site teams to resolve design queries
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, CDM, and company standards
- Contribute to design coordination and delivery from feasibility through to completion
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or Technologist within residential development
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology or related discipline
