I’m working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that’s growing its planning team in Cambridge, and they need an Associate Director to help lead it.
Cambridge has some of the biggest growth projects in the country, and this team works on them from early promotion through to consent. New settlements, urban extensions, strategic land and masterplans, plus life sciences, education and logistics. Planners sit alongside in-house transport, engineering, environment and landscape colleagues, so you’ll be leading whole schemes rather than just writing the planning statement.
The role
- Leading major applications, appeals and Local Plan representations across the East of England
- Advising clients directly and building relationships that bring in repeat work
- Writing fee proposals and tenders, and playing a real part in business development
- Representing clients at hearings, examinations and consultations
- Building and mentoring the team, with a direct line to the Head of Planning
About you
- MRTPI
- A strong track record on large residential-led schemes, ideally urban extensions, new settlements or strategic land promotion
- Consultancy background preferred, though developer or local authority planners with major-sites experience will be considered
- Commercial, industrial or logistics experience is a real plus
- Comfortable winning work as well as delivering it
The package
- Enhanced pension
- Private medical, income protection and life assurance
- Buy/sell holiday
If you want your name on schemes that will shape Cambridge for decades, this one’s worth a look.
