TDK is a supplier to some of the most diverse, technology based and original equipment manufacturers worldwide including global organisations within the Industrial, Medical and Test & Measurement markets.

A vacancy has arisen in the Quality Assurance Department for a Technical Process Quality Engineer. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide full lifecycle ownership of process quality across R&D, NPI, process start‑up and ongoing production. This is a technical quality role working closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering (MED), Production and Purchasing to ensure our processes are capable, compliant, stable, and continually improving. You will be the technical guardian of process robustness, preventing COPQ, driving early DFM, validating new processes, monitoring capability and auditing critical operations.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Partner with R&D to drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and early process risk identification.
  • Lead PFMEA, control plan development, and process risk modelling including COPQ impact.
  • Work with MED and Purchasing to specify, validate and introduce new equipment, tooling and fixtures.
  • Own process start‑up validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new products, engineering changes and new equipment.
  • Monitor ongoing process capability and SPC, identifying variation and driving corrective action.
  • Conduct scheduled critical‑process audits to ensure compliance, capability and control.
  • Support NPI through attendance at design release stages and weekly NPI meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Assist in the analysis of defect trends to improve internal quality and improve cost effectiveness.
  • Support QMS audits to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
  • Ensure compliance with ESD standards across relevant production areas.
  • Promote “Right First Time” and “Continual Improvement” across all process areas.
