ABOUT TDC PR

Founded in 2013, TDC is a global integrated B2B communications agency working with like-minded clients across the intersection of design, innovation, brand, culture and technology. TDC specialises in working with a mix of creative agencies, businesses, brands and industry bodies.

TDC is undergoing a transformation as we redefine the role and operations of a fit-for-purpose PR and digital agency. By embracing AI and technological innovation we are building a senior team of communications experts who offer an integrated and human-first approach to:

  • Providing strategic PR and digital counsel across positioning, messaging and activation on a day-to-day basis
  • Crafting bespoke and growth-centred communication strategies and campaigns
  • Creating meaningful connections by tapping into our extensive network of industry and sector contacts to help broaden our client's networks.

THE ROLE

If you're looking for a standard PR agency role with a tick box approach to delivery this is NOT the role for you. We are currently looking for a collaborative Account Manager who has a passion for media relations, thrives on actively crafting thought leadership and news angles, as well as pitching to secure top tier coverage. The successful candidate will be hungry to take ownership and responsibility for client accounts management and delivery.

A good understanding of the UK media, PR strategy and methodology is essential. The ideal candidate will have a personal passion for the design and creative industries and a strong understanding of the digital media landscape, and how digital channels play a role in the overall communication strategy.

This role will report into TDC PR's senior team, working together to co-manage our roster of clients and ensure the continued delivery of work in line with the high standards and personal, collaborative approach TDC PR has prided itself on from day one.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day account management
  • Managing a portfolio of clients with support and oversight from the senior team
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients and maintaining a high level of day-to-day client interaction
  • Managing the administrative organisation of client accounts
  • Liaising with clients on press campaigns, creative projects and PR solutions
  • Communicating effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

PR, media & campaign delivery

  • Developing and delivering industry, sector and product-focused PR and digital campaigns
  • Proactively monitoring the media landscape to identify opportunities and advise clients on appropriate responses
  • Developing news angles, stories and pitches to build client profiles, products and services
  • Managing media relationships, speaking directly with journalists and industry influencers
  • Analysing PR coverage and digital performance, and producing clear written reports

Client growth & contribution to the agency

  • Providing strategic counsel and innovative, creative ideas to support client objectives
  • Fulfilling client KPIs and supporting the growth of existing accounts
  • Being involved in pitching for new business and contributing to integrated communications proposals
  • Keeping up to date with PR and digital trends, tools and best practice

Team & leadership

  • Supporting, managing and mentoring junior team members
  • Leading on traditional PR and social media projects where appropriate
  • Supporting with writing and sourcing social media content for clients and TDC channels

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two years' experience in an agency or in-house PR Account manager role
  • Strong account administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Commercially aware and confident managing client relationships
  • Strong copywriting skills and strategic thinking capability
  • Solid project management and digital tool proficiency
  • Passion for media, social media and the sectors we work in
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive, resourceful and solutions-focused
  • Confident mentoring and supporting junior team members
  • A self-starter with energy, curiosity and a commitment to growth and results

WHY TDC?

  • Be part of a forward-thinking consultancy reshaping what PR means.
  • Work with design and innovation leaders shaping the future.
  • Join a smart, kind and senior-led team who challenge the status quo.
  • Flexible, remote-first working with regular team meet-ups and off-sites.
