LOCATION: Hertfordshire & North London
SALARY: £32,500 rising to £36,500
JOB PURPOSE: To service, maintain and fault find on vehicle wash machines in line with the service agreements, within your agreed geographical limit.
Responsibilities:
- Field Service Engineers are responsible for servicing and maintenance of the company’s full range of vehicle wash machines. This will include attending to all breakdowns, fault-finding, and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out chemical top-up on the machines as instructed and complete the appropriate paperwork.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Full valid driving licence applicable to the UK
- To have an understanding of mechanical plant operation and electrical systems and to demonstrate this through work experience.
- Have good interpersonal skills to communicate with both customers and internal staff.
- Be able to work on your own initiative and ability to work to a high standard of work.
- Demonstrate that you have a good understanding of meeting customer needs and experience of being the face of the company.
- Experience in using different customer portals for logging in/out of jobs with the use of a tablet device.
Desirable:
- Formal qualification in mechanical and electrical engineering
- Experience within the car wash industry.
- Experience with 3-phase.
Package:
- Basic starting annual salary of £32,500 rising to £36,500 after 6 month probation period
- Working hours Monday to Friday – base of 9hrs per day (45 hrs pw) Home to Home
- Working 1 in 4 weekends – base of 8hrs on a Saturday and 8hrs on a Sunday
- Paid from home to home
- Approved overtime paid during the week as 1.75
- Approved overtime paid on Saturdays at 1.75 over and above 8 hours once core hours have been achieved
- Approved overtime paid on Sundays at 1.75 over and above 8 hours once core hours have been achieved
- 3 Monthly individual performance bonus targets to hit PPM and machine availability as part of the bonus scheme.
- Annual company performance bonus entitlement after probation period completed and on weekend rota.
- Company van that can be used for private use (HMRC taxation will apply)
- Holiday scheme of 22 days rising to 25 days per annum plus an 8-day allowance in respect of public and bank holidays
- Health cash plan and shopping portal discount scheme (HMRC taxation will apply)
- Workplace pension scheme – statutory rules apply
