We are partnering with a reputable global financial services organisation to appoint a Senior HR Business Partner who will support HR for HR and global HR initiatives. This HR Business Partner role will have a significant employee relations focus. You will provide commercially focused advice and challenge across the full employee lifecycle, whilst taking a lead role on complex employee relations matters, organisational change and workforce transformation initiatives. Working closely with senior stakeholders, Legal and HR Centres of Excellence, you will help shape and deliver people strategies that support organisational performance, leadership effectiveness and future capability across a global HR client group of c. 300 employees.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted HR Business Partner to all stakeholders and senior leaders across global HR
  • Advising on organisation design, workforce planning, talent and succession strategies to ensure future readiness.
  • Partnering with specialist HR teams to deliver integrated solutions across talent, reward, leadership and organisational development.
  • Leading and advising on complex employee relations matters, including those involving legal, regulatory, conduct and reputational risk.
  • Managing sensitive investigations, disciplinary, grievance, performance and workplace conduct issues, ensuring commercially sound and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Supporting large-scale organisational change, restructures and workforce transformation programmes, including consultation and change management activity.
  • Partnering with Legal and wider HR teams to manage risk and ensure consistency of approach across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Using ER data and insights to identify trends, mitigate risk and inform business decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement across employee relations policies, processes and management capability.
  • Mentor and Coach for the HR team, acting as the escalation for more complex ER matters.
  • Support the wider HR team and leaders on complex people issues, building confidence and effectiveness in people management.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • HR Business Partnering experience, ideally corporate functions or HR for HR.
  • Has supported across cyclical HR processes i.e. the end of year compensation review.
  • Deep employee relations experience, including managing complex, high-risk and sensitive cases.
  • Experience of HR Business Partnering across Asia and India is desirable.
  • A track record of operating in complex, fast-paced organisations.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong and current employment law knowledge and the ability to balance risk with commercial pragmatism.
  • The credibility and confidence to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively.
  • Excellent judgement, resilience and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • An approachable demeanour with the ability to build strong relationships across HR, Legal and the wider business.
