This is a permanent position with a two-year period in which to build on your academic education with practical experience. We are seeking a motivated and talented Graduate Controls & Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of control systems for power generation projects, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. We are looking for an Engineer who is willing and able to learn about our industry, innovate, and develop their career with a rapidly growing company.

Key Areas of Expertise:

  • Industrial automation, PLCs, and SCADA.
  • Control system design.
  • Distributed control systems.
  • MQTT and IIoT emerging technologies.
  • Industrial networks.
  • Digital control systems.
  • Application of engineering and computing expertise to investigate complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of control systems for power generation facilities.
  • Work with Senior Engineers and Consultants to gain practical experience and knowledge in the industry.
  • Support the integration of automation solutions for business and industry.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement engineering solutions.
  • Work on projects from initial design studies to electrical DC and AC design, panel manufacture, PLC software, and SCADA design and programming.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems.
  • Gain an understanding of compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Willingness and the communication skills to understand and meet customer’s expectations.

  • Degree level in Engineering, including:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Control Systems Engineering.
  • Industrial Automation.
  • Automation and Control.
  • Similar qualifications to the above.
