About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker (or Senior Residential Support Worker), you'll play a vital role in helping children feel safe, secure and understood. You'll:

  • Create a warm, caring and therapeutic home environment.
  • Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies and family contact.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that help children recover from trauma.
  • Work alongside colleagues, therapists and external professionals to achieve the very best outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to personalised care plans.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A caring, resilient and positive attitude.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred therapeutic care.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a children's residential home.
  • Experience supporting children who have experienced trauma or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.
  • PRICE, Team Teach or similar behaviour management training.

We also welcome applications from experienced Residential Support Workers who hold a Level 3 qualification and are looking to take the next step into a Senior role.
