We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support lending and credit technology initiatives, with a primary focus on loan servicing platforms (preferably Loan IQ). The role will sit within a CIB Technology group and will work closely with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to support system enhancements, regulatory change, control improvements, and data analysis across lending products. This role is well suited to a candidate with strong foundational experience in business analysis within lending or credit domains, who is keen to deepen their expertise in enterprise lending platforms and complex financial products.
Key Experience & Background
- 6+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Lending Systems Specialist within a technology, change, or transformation environment.
- Prior exposure to lending, credit, or fixed income products, ideally within wholesale, corporate, or institutional Lending.
- Experience working with market-leading lending platforms, with hands‑on or adjacent knowledge of:
- Loan servicing and lifecycle events (drawdowns, repayments, repricing, amendments)
- Implementation of regulatory changes with focus on Lending systems.
- Loan Trading, FPML messaging in Loan Trading
Lending Systems & Technical Skills
- Loan IQ experience is highly advantageous, particularly exposure to:
- Deal, facility, and loan structures
- Loan Trading and supporting functions
- Entity and branch configuration
- User entitlements and access controls
- Core data model concepts
Project & Domain Exposure
- Experience supporting projects or initiatives related to:
- Corporate lending, credit, or fixed income products
- Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Trade Finance, or structured lending
- Operations, regulatory change, or technology transformation
Controls, Risk & Quality Focus
- Demonstrated understanding of control design, risk mitigation, and operational resilience within financial systems.
- Experience defining or supporting controls, metrics, or reconciliations aligned to system processes.
- Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail, particularly when working with financial data or regulatory-sensitive processes.
Core Competencies
- Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills, including:
- Requirements elicitation and documentation
- Process analysis and gap identification
- Translating business needs into system or data requirements
Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to articulate complex system or data topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Produces clear, structured, and high-quality documentation suitable for audit, regulatory, or senior stakeholder review.
Emerging Technology & Innovation (Desirable)
- Exposure to AI or automation initiatives within financial services is desirable, particularly where used to:
