Job Description: We are seeking a passionate software engineer for a role within Global Automation Engineering. This role focuses on understanding business needs and selecting the best technical solution, using technologies such as AI, APIs, traditional code, UiPath and Power Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong software and data fundamentals, an understanding of system integrations, and excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technology and business stakeholders. Customer / Business Analyse a broad range of business requirements and processes to identify opportunities for optimisation, automation and technology-enabled improvement. Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand the underlying problem, challenge existing processes where appropriate and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Evaluate different solution approaches and identify the most appropriate technology or combination of technologies for each business need. Conduct system, process and technical analysis to identify key components required for solution delivery and problem resolution. Design and develop new applications, automations, integrations and enhancements in accordance with technology architecture and engineering standards. Understand how systems communicate and identify opportunities to integrate applications through APIs, data, workflows and other appropriate integration patterns. Perform unit and component testing for new solutions and enhancements. Contribute to project planning, estimation, timelines and status updates. Communicate technical requirements, solution designs, risks and dependencies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Identify issues that may impact other areas of a project and resolve or elevate them appropriately. Support existing applications and automation solutions through enhancements, troubleshooting and break/fix activities.
