Opportunity Overview: We are looking for a talented candidate to join our European Energy and Power investment banking team. We are a leading advisor across the transatlantic energy value chain. We are seeking an Analyst to join our London team focusing on mergers and acquisitions, and strategic financing across the energy value chain including power, utilities, renewables, circular economy, oil and gas. This role demands technical aptitude, intellectual curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and team-focused mindset to help us best serve our clients.

Primary Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To):

  • Research and analyse clients' financial reporting, industry, and market data and synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for the deal team.
  • Conduct financial modelling, valuation analyses, due diligence for M&A and capital raising transactions with increasing independence.
  • Prepare marketing materials, client presentations, proposals, and internal memos that are senior-review ready.
  • Assist senior team members with idea generation and in all phases of M&A transaction execution including ownership of discrete workstreams.
  • Work proactively across multiple product groups and geographies.
  • Monitor trends across energy sub-sectors to support in deal origination.

Key Qualifications And Skills:

  • 2:1 or above degree (or equivalent) university qualification.
  • 1-2 years of relevant investment banking (or similar) work experience.
  • Experience in and/or deep interest in the energy, power and utilities sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant financial modelling and valuation work.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under time pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organization, including external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in another European language is a plus.
  • Full alignment with TD Securities' culture and approach to risk.
