You will support accurate and compliant financial reporting while managing a wide variety of operational finance tasks — from vendor onboarding to payroll processing to maintaining core governance documentation. What You’ll Be Doing
This role blends finance administration, control governance, and service-focused support across the business. Tasks are varied throughout the month so staying organised is key.
- Record payroll transactions received from HR into SAP.
- Maintain the authority and responsibility matrix for the UK & Ireland, ensuring accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- Process period-end invoices and carry out inventory price adjustments.
- Prepare selected financial reports that contribute to the month-end close.
- Maintain accurate records of invoice and purchase order approvers.
- Act as the local representative for invoice processing and vendor onboarding.
- Support teams across the business with navigating systems and onboarding new vendors.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and manual journal entries in line with internal controls.
- Stay on top of multiple recurring monthly activities, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Adapt to new tools and systems as they are introduced in a continually evolving environment.
- Build strong working relationships with local stakeholders and the Shared Service Centre.
What You’ll Bring
This role is ideal for someone who has built solid experience in finance teams, particularly in larger organisations, and who enjoys operational finance work with lots of variety.
- Strong experience working within a finance function.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Highly organised, able to manage many recurring tasks across the month without losing track.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, structured approach.
- Experience with multiple finance systems and the ability to pick up new tools quickly.
- SAP knowledge is a bonus, but not essential.
- Strong Excel knowledge.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks, but motivated by the variety of having many different responsibilities over the course of a month.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to keep many moving pieces in order simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders and remote finance teams.
