TD Recruitment is seeking a reliable Sweeper Driver for an ongoing position with a reputable waste & recycling organisation. This is a stable, long-term role ideal for someone who enjoys being out on the road, values consistent work, and wants a genuine opportunity for progression. You will operate road sweepers across the South West, helping maintain clean and safe roadways and work sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating road sweepers on planned daily routes within a 50-mile area
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly
- Maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and vehicle care
- Working Monday–Friday with 07:00AM starts
- Adhering to all company procedures and health & safety policies
- Supporting the depot team when required
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence
- Category C / Class 2 preferred
- Category C1 considered for smaller sweepers
- Driver CPC (essential for HGV-class vehicles)
- Tachograph (tacho) card – required as part of client policy
- Previous experience in road sweeping, waste/recycling, logistics, or HGV driving (preferred)
- Strong reliability, safety awareness, and willingness to work outdoors and early shifts
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
