Assistant Route Planner – Bristol
Our client is looking for an Assistant Route Planner to join their busy waste management and recycling operation in Bristol.
This is a varied role where you will support the daily planning of vehicle routes, coordinate drivers and help ensure collections are completed efficiently and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with daily vehicle and route planning
- Coordinate drivers and scheduled collections
- Take customer bookings via email and telephone
- Answer incoming calls during busy periods
- Update route planning and booking systems
- Deal with changes, cancellations and last-minute requests
- Communicate with drivers, customers and the operations team
- Provide general support to the transport and planning team
About you
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Confident communicating with customers and drivers
- Good computer skills and able to learn new systems
- Able to work well under pressure in a busy office
- Reliable, proactive and a good team player
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, waste or customer service is an advantage
