TD Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver (C1) to join our client's busy groundworks team working on council and road maintenance contracts in Bristol. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is happy to combine driving duties with on-site work as part of a small, reactive crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving a 7.5 tonne rigid vehicle (tipper, hotbox, grab or beavertail)
  • Transporting materials such as tarmac, asphalt, aggregates, and waste
  • Towing small plant (e.g. mini diggers or rollers) where required
  • Supporting pothole repairs and general road maintenance works
  • Assisting the team with loading/unloading and on-site tasks
  • Attending reactive jobs including potholes, kerbs, and carriageway defects

Requirements:

  • Valid Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence
  • CPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • Previous experience in highways, groundworks, or similar environments preferred
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and undertake physical duties
  • Additional tickets (e.g. CSCS, NRSWA) are advantageous

The Role: This is not a pure driving position, you will be expected to get involved on-site and support the crew with day-to-day maintenance works.
