Our client is a well-established and highly respected construction company delivering high-quality refurbishment, restoration, heritage, and specialist construction projects across the South West.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contract Manager or Quantity Surveyor to join their established team.

About You

This opportunity is suited to a highly experienced construction professional who enjoys managing quality projects and building long-term client relationships.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience working at Contract Manager or Quantity Surveyor level.
  • Must live within approximately 40 minutes of BA1 7QH.
  • Strong experience delivering refurbishment, restoration, heritage, commercial or high-end construction projects.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and contract management skills.
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Please Note

This role is not ideally suited to candidates whose experience has been exclusively with large Tier 1 contractors.

We are particularly interested in professionals from small to medium-sized contractors who are accustomed to taking ownership of projects, working closely with clients, and managing multiple aspects of project delivery.

Contract Manager Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple construction projects from pre-start through to completion.
  • Leading project teams and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing programmes, budgets and contractual obligations.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities

  • Managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender through to final account.
  • Preparing valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
  • Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Working closely with Contracts Managers and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.
