Position Summary:
Ready to be the change at TD Securities (TDS)? TD Securities (TDS) Data, Delivery and Integration team enables efficient and effective program delivery of the dealer's major, cross functional initiatives, using an enhanced Framework and approach for delivering change.
The TDS Data, Delivery & Integration (DDI) group enables efficient and effective program delivery of the dealer's major, cross-functional initiatives. The EU/APAC DDI team within TDS Data, Delivery and Integration department will serve as a centralized function for managing the intake, assessment, prioritization, planning, and implementation processes surrounding TD Global Finance (TDGF) and TDS Europe (London Branch). The EU/APAC DDI team will partner closely with stakeholder groups from across the organization including Operations, Compliance, Technology, Market Risk to drive and deliver on initiatives that enable business growth and compliance with global regulatory initiatives in an efficient and effective way while managing the risks associated with large scale programs.
The Director will report directly to the Managing Director & VP, Europe & Asia Pacific Head of DDI and will provide oversight, supervision, and leadership to initiatives managed out of the London office. They are responsible for driving new business initiatives, regulatory change, innovation, and commercial awareness within the region. The incumbent will be an active member of the European DDI executive team. Beyond local projects, the candidate will contribute to global initiatives impacting the regions to ensure there is proper transparency into local risk and operating committees as well as regional boards.
Additional job accountabilities:
- Production of a delivery operating model, inclusive of an end-to-end product roadmap, to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scalability for locally owned projects.
- Facilitates project execution through Rapid, TD Agile, and Waterfall delivery approaches as appropriate.
- Accountable for key delivery decisions and aligning technology and business objectives into a shared delivery vision.
- Supports the Executive Sponsor and Business Owner in structuring and securing approval for business case and funding.
- Accountable for challenging program estimates and supporting the team in removing any roadblocks during the estimation process, in alignment with the Estimation Framework.
- Establishes program governance structures for effective delivery orchestration, meeting TD's governance control objectives.
- Responsible for executing local projects across all domains to meet the stated success criteria and product value realization, with explicit consideration to business process, change impacts and the transition from delivery to business as usual.
- Accountable for establishing and executing processes and practices that support the appropriate project-level delivery framework (PDLC: requirements package, change management plan, testing plan, control processes for scope/requirements change).
- Establishes and manages resource plan, issues, risks and financial plans.
- Coordinates with the respective enterprise control partners (e.g., EPDE, Strategic Sourcing Group, Legal, TRMIS, OCDO, etc.) to appropriately select, engage and manage external service providers as required.
- Builds and leads a large diverse business team to effectively deliver productivity, quality and innovation.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- 10+ Years of equivalent work experience.
- Exceptional Capital Markets experience and experience delivering large, complex initiatives in the space.
- Experience leading EU/UK regulatory projects and managing intricate infrastructure programs that involve multiple stakeholders in but not limited to risk, technology, compliance, and finance.
- Strong people management skills with the proven ability to align teams to a central vision.
- Demonstrated experience leading diverse, high performing teams.
- Strong working knowledge with project management tools, such as Confluence, JIRA, Clarity and Tableau.
- Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, and external stakeholders.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading large scale projects, preferably in capital markets.
- Ability to stay composed and resilient under pressure.
- Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging the status quo.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong knowledge of the European regulatory environment (MIFID II, EMIR, GDPR).
- Indisputable knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
- Passion to succeed and results oriented.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects as and when required.
Specific Education Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or CSP designation an asset.
