The Lead Audio Visual Engineer is a senior individual contributor engaged on a fixed‑term basis to provide enterprise‑level ownership and technical authority for audiovisual and collaboration technologies across the London office estate. The role is accountable for the stability, resilience and risk management of AV platforms supporting executive leadership, client engagement and business‑critical operations.
Scope & Responsibilities
- Owns enterprise‑wide AV standards and service direction for the London estate.
- Acts as single point of technical authority for collaboration and AV platforms including Cisco, Webex, Neat Boards and Crestron ecosystems.
- Accountable for AV solutions supporting executive leadership, board level meetings, client and regulatory forums where failure would create material reputational, financial or compliance risk.
- Leads technical design, approval and oversight of AV room builds, refreshes and strategic upgrades.
- Influences vendor strategy, tooling, investment decisions and long‑term AV roadmaps.
- Provides functional leadership and technical governance across AV engineers and support teams without formal line management.
- Leads Tier 4 level incident response for major AV outages and systemic service failures.
- Acts as final technical escalation point for AV and collaboration issues.
- Drives proactive risk identification, control effectiveness and service resilience for AV platforms.
- Partners with Senior Technology, Networks, Facilities and Business Management stakeholders on strategy, funding and prioritisation of AV initiatives.
- Oversees vendor performance, solution design quality and adherence to enterprise standards.
- Provides expert guidance and mentoring to AV and Workplace Technology engineers.
- Ensures compliance with security, operational risk and audit expectations.
- Supports Level 9 accountability for enterprise standards, executive services and material risk outcomes.
Experience & Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience operating as a senior specialist within enterprise AV or Workplace Technology environments.
- Deep expertise in Cisco collaboration platforms and Webex at scale.
- Advanced hands‑on experience with Neat Boards and modern collaboration ecosystems.
- Expert level knowledge of Crestron control systems, integration and optimisation.
- Strong understanding of AV, network and infrastructure dependencies in regulated environments.
- Proven record of influencing standards, senior stakeholders and technology direction.
- Experience supporting enterprise AV environments in regulated or financial services contexts.
- Proven experience operating in controlled, risk‑aware technology environments with documented standards.
- Experience delivering and overseeing white‑glove AV services for senior leadership, board, regulatory and client engagements.
- Strong ability to make technical decisions with material impact on service availability, user experience and operational risk.
Education: Degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience in Audio Visual Engineering, Technology or a related discipline.
