TD Securities is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its London-based Technology Investment Banking team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the execution of mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory and capital raising transactions across a broad range of technology sectors, including software, data & analytics, fintech, vertical software, industrial technology and tech-enabled services.
As part of a growing global technology franchise, the Associate will work closely with senior bankers and clients on live transactions while gaining significant exposure to founder-led businesses, private equity investors and publicly listed technology companies. The role offers substantial responsibility, direct client interaction and the opportunity to contribute to the origination, execution and completion of high-profile transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day execution workstreams across live M&A and strategic advisory mandates.
- Build and review complex financial models, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, merger models and LBO analyses.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, investors, legal advisers, accountants and other stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of marketing materials, process documentation and transaction deliverables.
- Assist in transaction negotiations, valuation discussions and deal structuring analysis.
- Prepare pitch books, strategic presentations and market updates for existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct industry research and competitive analysis across key technology sub-sectors.
- Identify sector trends, strategic opportunities and potential acquisition targets.
- Support senior bankers in developing client relationships and new business opportunities.
- Manage analysts across multiple workstreams and ensure deliverables are completed to a high standard.
- Review financial models, presentations and analyses prepared by junior team members.
- Maintain project timelines across multiple concurrent transactions.
- Contribute to training, coaching and development of analysts within the team.
- 3 - 5 years of investment banking (M&A) or corporate finance experience.
- Demonstrated M&A execution experience, preferably within technology, software, fintech or related sectors.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality client work.
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
