Job Description: TD Securities' Westminster Research business is looking to hire a Commission Management Operations Support Associate. The successful candidate will work alongside Westminster's Institutional Sales and Operations teams providing daily operational support to clients, brokers and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Westminster's Sales and Operations teams.
- Respond to client inquiries via phone and e-mail communications.
- Communicate with external broker-dealers to reconcile trades and resolve breaks.
- Work on projects as directed by Sales and Client Service teams to further develop and support growth of business.
- Manage key data analytics and internal business systems.
- Manage daily payment streams via the use of several banking platforms.
Depth & Scope:
- Identifies issues affecting clients and provides recommendations to remedy.
- Develops deep client relationships and presents new ideas to clients.
- Ensures all trades are confirmed with the broker/dealer/client.
- Verifies transactions meet company policies and follow approved guidelines.
- Research and resolves reconciliation discrepancies.
- Coordinates trade reconciliation discrepancy resolution with stakeholders.
- Looks for ways to improve work flow efficiency.
- Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential.
- 1+ Years of related experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, establishes priorities, and meet critical deadlines with a high level of detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure prompt and professional approach when working with clients and colleagues.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to identify a variety of breaks.
