Job Description:

  • Process and settle Fixed Income trades (government bonds, corporate bonds, repos) via settlement depositaries
  • Ensure accurate and timely matching and settlement of trades in line with market deadlines
  • Monitor settlement status and proactively resolve failed or pending trades, always adhering to escalation matrix to update stakeholders as required
  • Liaise with custodians, clearing agents and counterparties to resolve discrepancies ahead of settlement cut-offs
  • Perform daily cash and securities reconciliations, maintaining strong operational controls to mitigate risk to the Bank

Other:

  • Strong knowledge of Fixed income products and settlement processes
  • Solid understanding of full settlement cycle, from trade booking through to post-trade processing & reconciliation
  • Experience using the following settlement platforms would be advantageous – Calypso Cash, OMGEO ALERT, Easy way
  • Confident and proactive approach to identifying, escalating, and resolving issues, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability from investigation through to completion
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment
