The Collegiate Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Class Teacher to join our Quest Primary School team. We are looking for someone to join our team for two terms in the first instance, between January 2027 and August 2027.
This role is 4 days per week (ideally Tues. – Fri. but other working patterns can be discussed. Please indicate your availability within your application).
What does the role involve?
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for working with children in the EYFS, is an excellent practitioner committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and will work hard to ensure all children are able to achieve the best they can. We are looking for a practitioner who is ambitious for themselves, dedicated to inclusive teaching and able to adapt lessons to ensure all children make the best possible progress from their starting points. You will be responsible for the day-to-day teaching of the Reception class. You will have strong communication skills, be willing to engage positively with all stakeholders and promote the academic achievement and the happiness and wellbeing of our pupils through having high expectations and aspiration for all pupils, as well as nurturing relationships and a positive attitude.

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for working with Early Years children and is committed to making a difference to their everyday experiences and life chances. Your communication skills, understanding of how children learn, communicate and may behave, flexibility, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work within a small team in a busy environment are essential. Experience in an EYFS setting would also be an advantage to ensure a smooth and successful transition for our pupils. Knowledge of teaching a validated phonics scheme would also be beneficial.
