The Role
Join a business-critical Finance Analytics initiative supporting reporting, analytics and decision-
making across a large retail organisation. The role combines analytical thinking, data preparation,
reporting operations, Power BI support and stakeholder engagement. You will take ownership of key
reporting processes, ensure data quality and stability, and support the transition to a managed
service model while helping shape future analytics opportunities.
Your responsibilities:
Own and execute reporting runbooks and operational processes.
Perform daily data preparation, cleansing, validation and reconciliation activities.
Prepare and maintain datasets consumed by Power BI reporting solutions.
Maintain business-critical lookup, mapping and reference tables.
Support Power BI semantic models, datasets and refresh activities.
Investigate and resolve reporting anomalies and data-quality issues.
Perform SQL-based data analysis and troubleshooting.
Work with Databricks data sources and support related data processes.
Engage with Finance, Commercial and Data stakeholders.
Support service transition and knowledge-transfer activities.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
Strong SQL and data analysis skills
Data preparation, cleansing, validation and reconciliation experience
Power BI support including semantic models, datasets and refresh troubleshooting
Experience working with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms
Reporting operations and production support experience
Root-cause analysis and data-quality management
Advanced Excel skills
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a business-facing analyst role
Experience supporting business-critical reporting environments
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
Finance or Commercial reporting experience
Microsoft Fabric exposure
Managed services experience
Retail industry experience
