We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with hands-on experience in data validation, ETL testing, and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Databricks, and cloud environments, with the ability to validate and ensure the quality of large-scale data processing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases for data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Validate data quality, integrity, transformation, and migration across systems.
  • Perform testing of Spark and Databricks-based data solutions.
  • Develop and execute SQL and PySpark scripts for data validation.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to test automation initiatives and continuous improvement of testing processes.

Must-Have Skills

  • Hands-on experience with PySpark / Spark SQL and SQL.
  • Experience working on Cloud Platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP/GCS).
  • Experience with Databricks or other Spark-based platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data validation and testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks or Spark-based platforms.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
