The Network Security Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting and managing enterprise network security operations, including firewall requests, security incidents, policy exceptions, compliance activities, and operational governance. The role ensures that firewall and network security controls are managed effectively within ITIL-aligned Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Management processes, while meeting audit and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise network security environments.
- Manage and support security incidents related to firewalls, network access, and security controls.
- Review, assess, and process firewall requests in line with security policies and business requirements.
- Handle firewall policy exceptions and ensure appropriate risk assessment and approvals are followed.
