The Enterprise Architect will provide enterprise architecture capability within the CTO Data & AI - Analytics & AI. Working within agreed architectural direction, the role supports the development, documentation, and assurance of end to end architectures across multiple domains. This includes shaping solution designs, supporting feasibility assessments and roadmaps, producing architectural artefacts, identifying cross domain dependencies and risks, and contributing to architecture governance. The role works closely with delivery, platform, and engineering teams to maintain architectural coherence while enabling pragmatic delivery.

Enterprise Architect with expertise in cloud, integration, data, and infrastructure, delivering secure, resilient, and scalable solutions. Skilled in shaping target architectures, guiding technology decisions, and collaborating with engineering teams to drive strategic outcomes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Produce high-level architecture, future/north star and emerging technology views and roadmaps - with a view to start implementing 'Architecture as Code'
  • Provide architectural guidance, including external expertise on trends and best practice for strategy, principles, standards and guardrails.
  • Help with transition states, designs and architecture delivery
  • Embedded within the programme and work with workstream leads to help drive scope, requirements, architecture and design roadmaps
  • Stakeholder engagement both Internal and External involved in the programme
  • Responsible for delivering designs, tooling strategy and data delivery patterns

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Knowledge of cloud database technologies, distributed systems and scalable data workload architecture, including Real Time Streaming
  • Understanding of modern enterprise data platforms, data sourcing patterns and constraints, ETL/ELT patterns, Data Modelling techniques and trade-offs
  • Grounding on enterprise data management best practices within a regulated enterprise context
  • Experience designing scalable cloud-native Data architectures (e.g., Azure, GCP)
  • Demonstrable ability to translate complex architectures into reusable enterprise design patterns
  • Ability to comprehend a complex estate, strong Stakeholder management, Consultative approach, Adaptability

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Exposure to AI, applied and enabling, and its effect on both the demand side for data as well as the implications for delivery of data platforms
  • Experience in automation in the data management space, including Data Contracts
  • Familiarity with Data Management and Governance Technology such as Collibra, Dataplex, Purview, Attacama etc (not specific to these vendors, but the industry)
  • Master & Reference Data Management best practices experience
  • Worked experience on tech delivery of Real Time data patterns
