The Provisioning Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and activating telecom network services across optical and IP networks. The role focuses on transmission technologies such as Ciena 6500, DWDM, ROADM, Flex grid, network capacity management, service activation, technical documentation, and support for customer service delivery.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and document optical transmission and packet network solutions using L2/L3 technologies.
- Review network designs to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with long-term network strategy.
- Manage network capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades to support service growth.
- Configure, provision, and test network equipment including routers, switches, and multiplexers.
- Support service activation and implementation across optical and IP network technologies.
- Optimize network utilization through capacity reallocation and disconnection management activities.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, network records, and engineering standards.
