Azure Devops Engineer in London

The Role

• We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud environments, and DevOps best practices on Microsoft Azure.

• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, monitoring, and release management.

Your responsibilities:

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.

• Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.

• Implement branch management, version control, and release strategies.

• Improve deployment reliability and reduce manual intervention through automation.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

• Configure and maintain Azure resources including VMs, App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts.

• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud environments.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).

• Monitor and optimize Kubernetes clusters.

• Implement container security best practices.

Monitoring & Security

• Implement monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Grafana.

• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues.

• Implement DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.

• Automation & Scripting

• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or Python.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational support activities.

• Optimize deployment processes and operational workflows.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Development, QA, Security, and Operations teams.

• Participate in architecture discussions and DevOps transformation initiatives.

• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

6+ years of experience in Azure devops

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Services.

• Expertise in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code:

o Terraform

o ARM Templates

o Bicep

• Experience with source control systems:

o Git

o Azure Repos

o GitHub

Hands-on experience with:

o Docker

o Kubernetes (AKS)

Experience with monitoring tools:

o Azure Monitor

o Application Insights

o Log Analytics

• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and RBAC.

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Azure CLI.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104).

• Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).

• Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305) certification.

• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud migration programs.

• Experience designing multi-region deployment architectures.

• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

GitHub Actions experience.

• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Bamboo.

• Knowledge of AI/ML deployment pipelines (MLOps).

• Experience with Databricks deployment automation.

• Experience with Snowflake deployment and release management.

• Exposure to Kafka/Event Streaming platforms.

• Experience with Ansible or Chef.

• Knowledge of FinOps and Azure cost optimization.

• Experience working in BFSI domain with security and compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with SonarQube, Nexus, Artifactory, Veracode, Checkmarx, or Fortify.
