The Role
The work will be within the IDP Lab and will involve shaping Stories and Tasks within agreed features then performing Software and Infrastructure as code secure development, testing (largely automated) and implementation.
In addition, Service support is number 1 priority in the bank and any successful candidate must be prepared to support the system in terms of helping customers, resolving incidents and providing long term problem fixes.

- Own, lead and drive an aspect or feature of our internal developer portal via the Jira Align framework
- Contribute to the lab & platform roadmap to develop integrated solutions.
- For the Front end Roles - Contribute to the design and build of our Internal Developer Platform ecosystem building frontend applications within the React Framework in Java Script or Typescript.
- Be hands-on and contribute code on a regular basis – leading by example.
- Be comfortable prototyping and developing reusable components, writing automated test scripts, performing code reviews and creating technical documentation.
- Be proficient in leading technical conversations with collaborators of varying levels of technical background, including Senior Management and other Subject Matter Experts.
- Collaborate across internal, external, and 3rd party teams, working closely with the other members of the team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of shared code libraries and collaborate with other technology teams.
- Provide leadership, education and mentoring to support junior colleagues and different teams on those topics, and drive upskilling.
- High focus on live support and building supportability into the application in our day to day work
Your responsibilities

- Extensive experience in writing frontend applications within the React Framework in Java Script or Typescript
- Applied understanding of security best practises including secrets management, building into a CICD workflow
- Experience creating end-to-end automation testing as part of a release framework using common industry tools (e. g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Integrating RESTful APIs in frontend Applications
- Building and maintaining CICD pipelines
- Applied familiarity with industry tools, Node JS, Git/Git Hub, Jest/React testing Library.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience
- Java Script/Type Script, React JS, Node JS
- Jest Unit Testing & automated Functional Testing (e. g. Playwright, Cypress)
- Experience building and deploying applications to Cloud (Azure & GCP)
- Git / Git Hub
