Type: Full-time / Contract About the Role We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi Trader / Plumber to join our team working within the prison estate.
The role involves carrying out a range of plumbing maintenance, repairs, and general multi-trade works across secure facilities, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a stable environment offering consistent hours and long-term work, supporting the maintenance and improvement of essential public-sector infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on plumbing and drainage systems.
- Undertake general multi-trade duties including basic carpentry, painting, patch plastering, tiling, and general maintenance works.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Complete job sheets, reports, and associated documentation accurately.
- Work safely and follow all prison security procedures.
- Liaise with site management and other trades to ensure works are completed efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism at all times. Requirements
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in plumbing maintenance and repair works.
- Multi-trade experience within maintenance environments.
- Ability to carry out a range of general building maintenance tasks.
- Comfortable working within a secure environment and willing to undergo vetting clearance - Enhanced DBS.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred. What We Offer
