Salary: Competitive / £225 per day

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and reliable Electrician to join our team working within the prison estate. The role involves carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works across secure facilities while ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards. This is a unique opportunity to work in a stable environment with consistent hours and long-term work, supporting the maintenance and improvement of essential infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on electrical systems
  • Testing and inspection of electrical installations
  • Ensure all work complies with current regulations (BS7671)
  • Complete relevant job documentation and reports
  • Work safely and follow all site security procedures
  • Liaise with site management and other trades when required

Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • ECS / JIB Card preferred
  • Happy to go through vetting clearance process
  • Experience in maintenance and installation work
  • Ability to pass enhanced security clearance for prison work
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
