A highly respected legal practice is seeking an experienced Senior Conveyancer to join its residential property team. This senior role involves managing complex conveyancing matters, supporting junior colleagues, and contributing to the efficiency and growth of the department while delivering high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential conveyancing matters from instruction to post-completion
- Handle freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered land transactions
- Manage complex matters including new builds, shared ownership, lease extensions, and Help to Buy
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documentation
- Complete Land Registry applications and Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions
- Ensure compliance with AML, GDPR, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may delay or complicate matters
- Build and maintain relationships with estate agents, brokers, and referral partners
- Use conveyancing case management systems to manage files and workflows
- Identify and implement improvements to systems and processes
- Mentor and support junior conveyancers and legal assistants
Applicant Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of residential property law
- Experience handling complex residential conveyancing matters
- Experience with registered and unregistered land
- Proven ability to manage transactions end-to-end
- Experience with Land Registry and Stamp Duty Land Tax processes
