We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering team at a leading manufacturing site in Scunthorpe.
This is a hands‑on role carrying out maintenance, fault‑finding, and improvement work to keep the plant running at peak performance.
The Role
- To carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure highest levels of equipment availability and to apply continuous improvement techniques.
- Attend and repair machinery breakdowns.
- Carry out planned and preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring “RCPS” techniques are being used following all plant breakdowns.
- Maintain PPM schedules and ensure plant areas are well organised.
- Work with production teams to meet output targets.
- Prove and validate equipment after maintenance work.
- Follow all site Health & Safety requirements.
- What We’re Looking For
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Strong electrical knowledge, including PLCs and AC/DC drives.
- Competent in fabrication, welding, and machining techniques.
- Skilled with hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematic drawings.
- Experience with PPM systems and fault finding.
- Confident working independently and prioritising tasks.
