Introduction for Quality Manager:
TCS Consulting is supporting a globally respected engineering and manufacturing business in the search for an experienced and proactive Quality Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for leading quality assurance and compliance activities, while also overseeing HR and Health & Safety functions. The successful candidate will maintain management systems, ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement and support a positive quality culture across the organisation.
Responsibilities for Quality Manager:
- Take ownership of the Quality Management System, compliance activities, audit programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for quality issues, customer complaints, supplier concerns and third-party certification bodies, while supporting HR and Health & Safety compliance across the business.
- Maintain and improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Plan and lead audit programmes, root cause analysis and CAPA activity.
- Manage compliance activities, company policies and quality documentation.
- Track quality metrics and report QMS performance to senior management.
- Act as the main contact for customer complaints, supplier quality issues and certification bodies.
- Oversee Health & Safety requirements and support compliant HR policies and processes.
Requirements for Quality Manager:
- Experience in Quality Management or Quality Engineering, with a strong understanding of customer expectations, compliance requirements and quality systems.
- Confident influencing stakeholders, building relationships across departments and promoting a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems.
- Experience with audits, corrective actions, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical, organised and process-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to create clear reports, procedures and processes.
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel occasionally.
- ISO 17025:2017 awareness, auditor training or Health & Safety experience would be beneficial.
