Weighbridge & Yard Operator

Position: Part-Time Evening Shift
Hours: 17:00 β 22:00, Monday to Friday
We have an exciting opportunity for a dependable and safety-focused Weighbridge & Yard Operator to join our client\βs esteemed team at their Selby site. This is a part-time evening position perfect for those looking to maintain a great work-life balance while contributing to a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately book drivers in and out using the weighbridge system (SAP).
- Safely shunt and manoeuvre vehicles around the yard in line with site requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle movements.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues to maintain smooth site operations.
- Conduct basic checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in weighbridge or yard operations is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- An HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation.
- Ability to work independently and make safe, effective decisions.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
