We have an excellent opportunity for someone with experience gained in an automotive, GSE or plant machinery parts department, looking to join a well-established and rapidly expanding company with exciting progression opportunities. TMS UK Ltd are market leaders within the field of Ground Service Equipment repair and maintenance, and is part of TCR Group, the leading global provider of integrated solutions for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in aviation.
This role covers the stores environment to receive, store, issue and record the traceability of all raw materials, fluid, equipment, spares, tools, PPE, consumables, and client provided materials on the site. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a busy parts department, with transferrable knowledge and skills to suit the GSE Parts Technician at our TMS Heathrow site. Further training will be provided by TMS.
The role:
- Identify and understand the requirements of the technician
- Issue materials to the GSE Technicians
- Provide prompt and courteous counter service, and respond to telephone calls promptly
- Goods Inward
- Check and receive deliveries to site
- Organisation and maintenance of goods received quarantine area
- Collection of goods from suppliers as and when required
- Stock Control
- Participate in stock counts and reconciliation against inventory
- Ensure stock items have appropriate bar codes attached and there is full traceability of all stored items
- Ensure all items are located correctly and stock control system is updated with location
Shift Pattern:
The working week for this position is a Monday to Friday, 40 hour per week. The contractual start time for this role is flexible, with a start time of 7:30am, 8:00am or 9:00am available.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Customer oriented and service delivery focussed
- Understanding of stores procedures and systems
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately with good organisational skills as part of a team or individually
- Literate, analytical and numerate with good IT skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in an automotive, GSE or plant machinery parts/stores environment
- GCSE A-C in Math and English or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
You will need to:
- Be able to demonstrate your Right To Work in the UK
- Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5-year history verification
